Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of all things, infinite in power, wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
I. The Holy Scriptures: The Word of God We believe the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. They are the complete and final revelation of God’s will for humanity, the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life, and are profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
II. God the Father We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, who orders and disposes all things according to His own purpose and grace. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and the spiritual Father of all who believe. He is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power, and His fatherly care extends over all His creation and particularly over His children (Ephesians 1:11; Psalm 103:19; Matthew 6:9; John 1:12).
III. God the Son: Jesus Christ We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, who is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life on earth, perfectly fulfilling the law of God. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of mankind, making propitiation for our sins and reconciling us to God. He was buried, and on the third day, He rose bodily from the dead, demonstrating His victory over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, where He intercedes for His people as our High Priest and Advocate. We believe in His personal, visible, and glorious return to earth to establish His kingdom (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:35; 1 Peter 2:22; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:25; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1).
IV. God the Holy Spirit We believe in God the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who is co-equal with the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates those who believe, indwelling, guiding, instructing, empowering, and sanctifying believers for godly living and service. He bestows spiritual gifts upon the church for the building up of the body of Christ; and all of this for the Glory of God. (John 16:8; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:9; John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; John 16:14).
V. Man: Creation, Fall, and Need of a Savior We believe that man was uniquely created by God in His own image, morally upright and innocent, with a rational nature, intelligence, volition, and moral responsibility to God (Genesis 1:26-27). However, through the disobedience of the first man, Adam, sin entered the world, and all humanity inherited a sinful nature, becoming alienated from God and utterly unable to remedy their lost condition (Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3). All people, therefore, are sinners by nature and by choice, deserving of God’s just wrath, and are in desperate need of a Savior (Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23).
VI. Salvation by Grace Through Faith We believe that salvation is entirely of God’s grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. It is not by works or human merit, but is a free gift of God to all who believe. Through faith in Christ, sinners are justified, declared righteous before God, forgiven of their sins, adopted into God’s family, and eternally saved. This salvation is a work of God from beginning to end, securing the believer for all eternity (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16; Titus 3:5; John 10:28-29).
VII. The Great Commission We believe that the church, as the body of Christ, has been given the sacred mandate to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. We are called to make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Christ has commanded (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). This mission extends to every sphere of life, including the integration of faith and vocational training, equipping students to honor God in their chosen trades and to live as salt and light in the world for His glory.
