Head of School Message
I am so glad that you have found your way to our website. Welcome. My name is Mark Corey and I have been blessed to serve for over 20 years in private Christian education as a teacher, administrator, and Head of School. When I first learned about the opportunity to help build a trades-based middle and high school focused on practical skills and entrepreneurship with strong academics, I could not move fast enough to get involved. Working with board members who share a collective focus to build up Firm Foundation Academy graduates who are future ready and faith-filled is an added bonus.
Today, more than any other time in my life, we are seeing a shift back to practical skills and a strong push toward entrepreneurship. Some would say that technology is taking over, or has reduced the need for trades-based skills that were once essential to this country’s success, I would argue this is not true. A study by McKinsey and Company linked HERE, found that hiring for critical skill roles in the United States could rise as much as 20 times the annual projected rate from 2022-2032. Emerging technologies such as robotics, automation, drone technologies, as well as the Internet of Things (IOT) are also going to impact future trades and present new opportunities for graduates. This shift back toward trades is not just political, it is a corporate necessity in order to manufacture more in the United States, from automobiles to microchips. Industry is making a strong comeback in America and we are setting up shop to equip the youth of Rusk County, and the surrounding communities, to not only to take advantage of this but to prepare them for whatever future they dream of.
At Firm Foundation Academy we are on a mission to equip students in the development of their God-given potential, both academically and practically. As a Wisconsin Parental School Choice participant, tuition for FFA may be covered for your student(s). Please look at our school choice page for more information.
